The Path to Becoming a Hematology Nurse
Hematology nurses are specially trained to care for patients with blood diseases or disorders, such as hemophilia, lymphoma, and leukemia. They may also assist with blood transfusions, blood tests, research, and chemotherapy. Hematology nursing often goes together with oncology nursing, since many blood disorders are cancer related.
