ABSN Program Details

The accelerated nursing curriculum at Northeastern University includes 67 course credits divided into four semesters. The ABSN follows a hybrid learning model, incorporating online classes, hands- on nursing labs, and clinical experiences.

  • Online classes: In the ABSN program, students learn didactic nursing information through engaging online courses. These offer greater flexibility and adaptability depending on when and where you study best. You’ll still benefit from structured deadlines and guidance from faculty within the Northeastern School of Nursing within Bouvé College of Health Sciences.
  • Skills and simulation labs: Skills labs provide a safe, supportive environment where nursing students learn the hands-on, technical aspects of nursing. Then in simulation labs, they can apply those skills to mock scenarios with high-fidelity manikins.
  • Clinical rotations: To round out the ABSN curriculum, clinical rotations take place at top healthcare facilities in the areas surrounding Boston and Charlotte. Students work with professional nurses in varied healthcare settings to glean real-world nursing experience.
