Madonna University’s Accelerated BSN Program
Madonna University is located in Detroit, Michigan, and has more than 50 years of experience in preparing students for their careers as nurses. They offer both traditional and accelerated BSN programs as well as graduate nursing programs.
Their Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program can be completed in as little as 16 months, and with start dates in the fall, winter, and summer, you’ll be able to get started on your degree right away. Madonna’s ABSN program uses a blended model of learning with online courses paired with in-person skills and simulation labs. The university also partners with Ascension Michigan, a leading faith-based healthcare system in Michigan, for their clinical rotations. Overall, the program takes place over the course of four full-time semesters.
ABSN Admission Requirements
Applicants to Madonna’s ABSN program are required to either hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.8, or to have completed at least 60 college credits with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Prospective students must also take the ATI TEAS exam and get a minimum composite score of 65%. Applicants who don’t have a bachelor’s degree are also required to take the Madonna Writing Assessment.

The Baccalaureate degree in Nursing/Master of Science in Nursing/Doctor of Nursing Practice and post-graduate APRN certificate programs at Madonna University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), located at 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, (202) 887-6791. CCNE is a national accreditation agency dedicated to the improvement of public health through confirmation of the effectiveness of baccalaureate-and graduate-level nursing programs.
