Harding University’s ABSN Program

Harding University is a private Christian university located in Arkansas. Their Carr College of Nursing, founded in 1975, has been recognized as the No.1 nursing program in Arkansas since 2018, according to registerednursing.org. Part of this college is an accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing program.

Harding’s accelerated BSN program, located in Rogers, Arkansas, consists of online coursework, hands-on nursing skills and simulation labs, and clinical rotations. Some of Harding’s clinical partners include Mercy Hospital Northwest, Vantage Point Behavioral Health Hospital, and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. The program can be completed in as few as 16 months; with start dates in the fall, spring, and summer, you can start working toward your BSN right away.

ABSN Admission Requirements

Applicants to Harding University’s ABSN program must meet several requirements in order to be eligible for the program. A GPA of 2.78 or higher in science pre-nursing courses and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 are required. Also, a minimum of 64 previous college credit hours, including liberal arts and pre-nursing courses, must be completed. Applicants are also expected to successfully complete the HESI Admission Assessment Exam and pass a background check.

Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, the master's degree in nursing, and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at Harding University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The BSN/2nd BSN program has continuing full approval of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing. The MEPN/EMEPN program has initial approval of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.

The BSN/2nd BSN and the hybrid ABSN program have continuing full approval of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
